Sears just might see the majority of my Christmas dollars spent this season. It's not normally my first stop, but my uncle was telling me this story about the way they treat their military employees called to active duty, and I wanted to verify...............I found it to be true according to Snopes. Makes me feel good about supporting someone like this.

I interviewed with them this year for a spot in their MBA fast-track program (no chance of taking it since my wife's in Philadelphia and the job's in Chicago, but I just wanted the experience). Met a lot of their senior executives in the process. They're good people - in fact, they're excellent, bright, socially conscious people. This is the kind of thing that they'd think of. I hope that the new team pulls the company through the current crisis, because the world needs more leadership like this.
