Lost my cutter

well, since the day i got my cutter, i've never let it out of my site. I've set it down, but always in my room on my desk, or near my bed, or something. Anways, since monday, no one has seen. To be honest, I'm freaking out. My girlfriend and me have fought all day because it was a very special gift from her, and I've lost it. I know it sounds stupid, but for God sakes, pray I find this thing before I go to the funny farm! :(

Glad I'm not the only one that does this... I swear if my a$$ wasn't attached I'd set it down and lose it. And sadly, I lose stuff all the time, and it usually ends up right under my nose!

The thing to do is, do your prayers, forget about it for a short time and presto! It'll be right there. Works for me every time.
Good luck! (And the GF will forgive you if it doesn't show up for some strange reason... I'm on my 2nd wedding ring and still married... ;) )
 
PM Sent brudda! I've been searching all night for another one, and it's driving me insane! I would seriously love to find that thing.

I guarantee you will find it - right after you take shipment of the new one you purchase... ??? Always works out that way... ;)

i hear ya bro! I lost my ring my girlfirend gave me last month. I turned the house, car everywhere upside down. I found it 10 days later, in her slipper, by the coatrack.

Confusus say: Lost things always show up in last place looked.

you know what is going to happen KB, as soon as you purchase the exact same item again, you will find the original...good luck finding the original.

She hid the cutter to see how you will handle the situation.

The trouble starts when you get a new one and say 'Look dear, I've found my cutter'.

I was discussing this with fellow BOTLs in the Chat Room the other night and came to the conclusion that cheapies are the way to go; sure they go dull more quickly, but let's say you can get decent cutters at the local stor for a buck; vs $30 for a XiKar. If you lose a $1 cutter, or it goes dull, no proble, get another one. I;m guessing 30 $1 cutters will last longer than one $30 Xikar. Heck even 10 $3 ones.

I know this doesn't help in your current situation. But perhaps when it comes time to replace you'll keep that in mind.

Well, you could continue looking after you found it, but then all the excitement would be gone. ;)
 
Take the Buddhist way out .... Tell the GF it was a great lighter, it gave you hours of pleasure and memories that you will cherish for the rest of your life. Your sad that it is gone but its time with you was done and if somebody else happens to find it hopefully her gift will bring them as much pleasure as it brought you.
