here's where I spend most of my time skating (scroll down for photos).
not a free park, but being a ymca in encinitas, they've got plenty of money to keep everything in top condition. the pools are killer!
they've just built an elbow-shaped mini-half-pipe, too.

there are loads of free/community parks around, too.

I used to work at the volvo dealership in carlsbad, so I used to see guys like tony hawk & bucky lasek come in and get their cars worked on pretty often.

hey, did you used to compete in the CASL contests, matty?
I did for a while in the late 1980's.

the pipeline skatepark in upland, CA used to be my stomping grounds.

I have a photo album of me skating back in the day...if I can get to a scanner maybe I can get some up.

I used to skate locally here in Vegas...I most did demo's here for Vision Street Wear and that is where I used to run into Tony and Gator. I won a few am tourney's here in 91..kinda gave up skating to go to college and play football..
