I am thirsty.
* Thread jack on*Holy mother of malt!! And here I am thinking $41 for a fifth of 10 yr Glenmorangie was expensive! :0
I know what you mean I was all excited because I found GlenFiddich and GlenLivet for $14.99 a piece at Smart and Final. I am not sure I would be allowed in the store that carries this bottle. Probably need a minimum credit score or something. Nice score regardless though!

Wow, I'd have to stock up since I can't touch a fifth of either of those for less than $40 here.
Make sure you don't drop it! :sign:
It's already added on the homeowners policy![]()
Does that mean you can drink it, smash it and then claim it? :whistling:
Those pesky burglars...drinking and smashing bottles...![]()

I was in my local the other night and was talking to a guy told me about a customer he had (the guy was an insurance agent)...I guess one of his customers bought a really expensive box of cigars (the agent didn't know what they were), and added them to his home owners policy (fire policy). A year or so later he filed a claim with insurance because they caught on fire (after lighting and smoking them all). They went to court and the judge ended up siding with the consumer because they technically did catch on fire and were not replaceable.
Then the insurance company had the guy arrested for arson (I think the agent said like 20 counts), and is now in jail for like 15 years...
Siglo-Man - That is a beautiful bottle. Wish I could see the inside of that box...
EDIT - Spelling

I call bullshit. No way that story is true.
Agreed. I hope it works out, but it's a risky investment.A bit, but I would have bought other things for that kind of cash.
Why do I think AVB might just be a tad jealous; or, he's is heading you way for a taste? ???

Indeed, however, I doubt most people that buy something of this nature partake in a drink. They buy it for the history. I enjoy cognac very much and im in the process of getting a bottle that was vinted in 1818. I'd never think of drinking it, but to think that it was around when the US was only on its 5th president, and Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were still alive is pretty interesting.
