I have been a fan of Scotch for quite a while and for some reason that Macallan flavor just works for me where no other brand does in the same way. Started collecting Macallan just over 10 years ago and while acquiring bottles rare and no so rare, I have also been consuming my fair share as well :) My love for the scotch actually inspired a trip to the distillery in Scotland which I took in May which was absolutely amazing! I just thought I would share a few pictures of my collection and the trip.

In the actually distillery (strictly forbidden to take pics in here but I had to snap a few with my phone)

I'm sure you all are familiar with the little house on each Mac bottle (that's it)

The mind blowing collection in that little house.

Nothing like shopping in Davifoff London for something to compliment my Mac

Nice collection and photos, I remember them from before.

Does your bottle of Macallan 25 Anniversary Malt list the year it was distilled? I'd love to get one from 1963 but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack not to mention the value has shot up in the past few years.

I have two 25 Anniversary bottles, the one in the picture was distilled in 1972 and my other bottle in 1971. Yes a 63 might be hard to find but they are out there. I'd love a 50th anniversary but last one of those sold for 38k at auction.

Nice collection of Macallan you have going there. I too am a huge fan, but my collection pales in comparison to yours. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your trip. Some were interesting...others were mouthwatering.

Nice chunk of change for that one. I had a small taste of the 50 yo and it was past it's prime IMO but I've had some others in the 40+ yo range that were outstanding. One never knows with whiskies at that age.

Is your '49 the 50, 52 or 53 yo?

It's the 52 from cask 935.

Yea it's more of a expensive paper weight since I'll probably never drink it but that's collecting lol. I've been trying to get a bottle of the Gran Reserva 18 but people seem to be asking a bit too much for them. No rush... someone will come along.
