Maine, Kids and Flavored Cigars

It seems that Maine wants to expand the tax to include little cigars and flavored ones to stop kids from getting them. Little Cigars in Maine Most of us would agree the kids should not have access to them but the question is will this stop the kids and will the legislature use this opportunity to expand the tax to cigars.

It is always "save the children" as a liberal excuse to tax and spend. Makes me sick when a lot of the tobacco tax funds go to stupid research projects on kids and smoking tobacco. When will they get their head out of their A$$ and recognize that the real problem is marijuana, meth, cocaine, and all of the other crap like that. Hell, half of them are gang-bangers and these idiots are worried about flavored cigars. :angry:

How true. For those with kids, what we really worry about is the availability of the drugs like crack, meth, coccaine, etc. My high school kids tell me that they can readily get the stuff in school if they wanted to, and they go to a 'good' high school. If they said they would use the money to stop drugs then maybe the tax could be swallowed, but in fact it will not be used for the betterment of the kids. My .02 cents

Eh they stop selling flavored cigars to kids then they'll just buy zigzags. You don’t think they actually smoke the cigars do you? They just want the flavored wrappers.
