I bought a bottle of this for a friend last week. I thought it had less of the "Makers" flavor. He appeared to like it quite a bit.

I found it to be spicier. I wouldn't have thought it was Markers if it was a blind taste test.

Nope, not a big Maker's fan to start with so I'm in no hurry to drop the cash on this one yet.

I guess I'll have to eat my words now. While out looking at a compost tumbler down in MD I figured I'd do some hunting at the little liquor stores I passed by. Lo and behold there sat one bottle of Maker' Mark 46 marked at the same price as the regular bottle (28.99). I asked the guy at the counter if he had any more and he said that he only got one case last week and that was all he had left. At that price I can see why. Now I'm gonna have to do a side by side. :0

I'd love to see an AVB review. I am interested in reading your thoughts on this one. Sounds like Makers Mark with some extra Oak flavors and not much more to me...
