Man Cave Show Cigar Room

Anyone else see this on the DIY Channel ?

Tony "the Gooose" Segusa helping a guy build a cigar room in his basement. They built a pretty nice looking humidor on the show, and turned a storgage room into a really nice smoking room with ventilation.

I had it o Tivo, but I think it aired this past Wednesday.

Nice looking humi built with MDF and spanish cedar laminate. Also showed a way to build some nice lloking shelving out of cedar that could be followed for shelving for an exisiting humidor.

I saw it when it originally aired sometime last year. I wish they would put the plans for the humi up on their site. It was a nice room. A little small, but if that's what you've got to work with, that's what you've got. I would probably move the fireplace out and put a TV on the wall.

Yep, that fireplace is a little dumb, but to each their own. If they had the ceiling open and the ability to vent the room they should have gone ahead and at least put in a gas fireplace.

I agree about the fireplace. I never understand fake fireplace to begin with. My wife watched the episode with me and laughed as she even agreed the fireplace made no sense for a smoking unlike a 50" flat screen.

I agree on the humidor plans. While all TV show make it look easy, it looked like all the cuts were straight to 90' angles, so it actually looked like an achievable DIY project. And using MDF, if you have the tools probably not too expensive to build.

The fireplace was probably a sponsor who wanted to get the shtuff in there. So they did.

When I finally leave the urban hell, I will plan a man cave into the new house.

Oh, and what is up with the wife and daughter? I'd take my own life if I had to put up with women like that.

Is nice... But, yes the fireplace needs to go and a TV needs to come.

I have a real fireplace in my cave. Eat your hearts out ya bastids. But what I don't understand is, why doesn't wood smoke bother the 'ol lady? Hormones, probably.

Because women like that use constant complaints to keep their men down. It's sad, really.
