Considering I get to work at 4:30am every damn day and get home around 5:30 every single day I can tell you that I am pretty burnt out myself.
Current there are 24 employees on the payroll, about half need to be retrained every day and each one of them has some sort of personal problems ie; court date, doctors appointment or they just decide not to come to work because they don't feel like it and that just adds to my headache.
I am the personal banker for every general contracting firm I do business with. They never pay their bills in a timely matter and stretch my credit line to the maximum every month. The cost of insurance is continually climbing in California which runs about 400% higher than any other state and makes it real hard for a Union employer to get contracts these days.
I have mounds of paper on my desk, when I say mounds you probably think of 50-100 pieces of paper right? No I mean 500+ pieces of crap that needs signature and has been backed up for literally weeks on end waiting some sort of decision.
I get calls daily from angry clients wanting to know where the hell their steel is and why I only have one crew working one their job and not two working around the clock so they can make their clients happy.
I spend my nights working on Bids and other stuff that I just can't find enough time for in the office. I work most every weekend, every Saturday for sure and about half the Sundays every month. My family hates me because my cell phone rings at night after and during dinner hours with clients needing to give me information or I am expecting a phone call regarding some sort of problem that has occurred during that days field work.
Can i join the burnt out club too?
