Miami vs FIU fight

Over-the-top BAD for college football.

And this announcer what a nimrod. They should never allow him to get close to a mic again. Penalties to the school need to be stiffer IMHO. Give em both bowl bans of course this will never happen because the NCAA Head Honchos are a bunch of idiots as well.

I think they should suspend any players they can identify involved and chalk up a loss for each team. 'Course then you get a crappy team with nothing to lose picking a fight with a championship contender.

I am glad to see that the universities themselves are suspending some of the players for the entire year and not waiting on the NCAA to make that decision for them.

I can't believe that. Football is an agressive sport but geez. They need a smoke and a good glass of scotch. Mellow em out.

I guess I'm the only one that LOVED it. The whole thing! The announcer, the thugs, the kicking and biting and helmet slinging... it was FANTASTIC. Seriously. That's good TV.

I'm with you on the good TV part.

I could not turn away when it happened and I cannot turn away whenever I see the replays. The whole thing is absolutely incredible.

Having said that, the punishment has to be very severe to keep this from happening again. I say suspend both programs for the rest of this season and next. No games, no nothing. This type of thing cannot be allowed to happen. If this would have happened off the field there would be arrests and quite likely jail time for many of the players.

Some may say that that kind of suspension is unfair because it hurts the other students. Tough shit. If these schools are going to recruit these players to represent their school on the field (and they both have for many years), they get what they get. It may be unfair, but it's on the schools to get some higher quality young men in their football program.
