:) :) :) :) Got home just a little while ago and had a package at my doorstep. Quite the heft to it as I thought it weighed a fairly substantial amount.

Opened it up and there, staring me in the face, wrapped in plastic, was the glorious book [/I]An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Post-Revolution Havana Cigars.

After grabbing the smelling salts (felt faint after seeing it!) and a couple of defrib blasts to the chest later, I was paging through it like a kid through a ToysRus catalog around Xmas time!

This is (I believe) one of the best books of its kind in regards to the subject matter, full of information and pictures. Well researched through and through and a drool fest for those of us who know how to appreciate a good cigar and all the gorgeous presentations, right down to the tooth on the wrapper! :sign:

Anyone else get their copy today?

I didn't know they were still in print. I thought they were very hard to come by. Maybe I haven't been paying enough attention to the boards. Any info you can share? Where to buy? Price range? I'd definitely be interested in getting my hands on one of these.

Damn! Didn't think it'd be that expensive! Oh well. Will they EVER be printing more of these? Have to go on that for now.

That's cheap. I got mine two years ago for $85.00 shipped but I haven't seen them for that price since. That was also when the dollar was much stonger against the British Pound so again, that price is very good.

There's a group buy going on at another website that Cheeze clued me into, where you actually donate a minimum of $75 to the WWF and you'll get the book shipped to you. Apparantly it's something that MRN himself worked out with the WWF and copies that he has donated. The order hasn't actually taken place yet, as they are waiting for the US distributor to get the book from the printers.


Oh yeah, it's the World Wildlife Foundation, not the wresting guys.
 
You ought to see how much some of my wife's medical reference books cost! I see these $1000 charges on the credit card from book suppliers, and then a couple days later 6 books arrive! And two of them are only around 50 pages!
 
woohoo...wife just called and my copy was just delivered. Can't wait to get back home.
