Hello all...

Do any of you well informed Brothers know if there will be a 2007/2008 Revised edition of Illustrated Encyclopedia of Post-Revolution Havana Cigars by Min Ron Nee. I would like to purchase the book, but don't want to buy the 2005 edition if there will be newer edition released this year. Any help will be appreciated.

I think the newer addition is the same as the previous version minus the editing errors. I could be wrong, but I don't think there is new information in the book. I read this somewhere.

Don't look for a new one anytime soon or at all for that matter. The second, if released, will probably be A LOT more in-depth and comprehensive than the first and would take years to compile. The gentleman whom this info comes from is close to MRN and a member on another board. He has stated that it could be 1,000 pages or more and it would not be cheap (as you can imagine). The reason is the first book was heavily cut down to meet the page requirements set forth by the publisher, IIRC.

So, go ahead and buy the book....I doubt we will see another version for several years at the earliest.

That is what I needed...a definitive piece of intelligence on this. Thankee Mucho for the info.

C&G... I now have direction.

PS...and you are right Stinki... the 2005 Revised edition only corrected some minor misprints in the original 2003 edition.
