What will mold look like on cigars.... I just received a box of Ashton Aged Maduros....on a few of the cigars there is a white type substance on the cigars....The person I purchased them from stated that it is Plume and it is normal for an aged cigar...Is this correct or is it mold.......

Without seeing it...very hard to say. Plume/blume will look like little crystals over the surface of the cigar. Almost like powdered sugar or regular sugar if the crystals have had time to grow.

Mold might also be white, but does not brush away easily. Mold often has a green or blue tint to it.

One way to tell is by the smell of the cigars. If they smell moldy...BINGO. If they smell great, like well-aged cigars, you've got something nice.

If you can post some good close-ups of the cigars, it would help.
