A buddy of mine went to a local shop and the vendor had a box of Monty EL 2003, but heres the catch he says they are almost a double corona size, everything i have seen says the the 03s were only corona gorda's. The 01s were the double corona, is it possible they re-released the some DCs in 03 or did he get shafted?
 
Yeah, only release that I know of was 2001 with production dates running into somewhere in 2002.
As far as I know, they were not re-released as EL 2003.

btw, the real deal is a fantastic smoke that can be found for about 12.25/per when buying a box.

when i was in cuba jan /feb 05 i bought some new Montecristo Robustos EL 2004 boxed in 05. I have read they are only for the Canadian mkt???
Its a full flavored cigar with a dark reddish brown wrapper grown specifically for this cigar. I talked to two Canadian cigar shops one knew about it and the other did't???
