Why is a retail site in Australia, that's not allowed to sell to Australians, able to charge these prices. All of their cigars are about as bad - in some cases worse.

Does anyone know the market/economic forces that are causing this more than 300% difference in prices?

Purely academic. I'm NOT considering buying from them! :p

They can try to sell them for whatever they want....it's the customer's choice to buy.......

....don't sweat it, Vortex. Hell, I have a box of 2K's with some age on 'em and I'll let you have 'em for only $250.00.....:p

At one time a box of Padrón 2K went for over 500 Euro in Germany!

Now a few years later someone came to their senses and I can get a box of the 2K for 162,50 Euro (212 dollars give or take a few cents).

I thought the Gurkha Majestys won out for the most overpriced cigars going? You just can't beat $750.. It's like a high school teen's crappy first car, going up in smoke..

A wise ass in every crowd! :p

You would think they would set a price that would result in some sales. If that's the case, there may be some reason. If I had to guess, I'd say some combination of currency exchange rates and taxes - mostly taxes. BUT they don't sell them in Australia! That's the clinker.
