Very cool. Some people accept being in bed or in a wheelchair for the rest of their lives when suddenly confronted with a life-changing condition. Other people see it as a challenge and use "you can't do that anymore..." as motivation to physically and mentally rise above anything they ever previously thought possible. You don't know what you can, or will, do until you are faced with the situation. Your friend has tremendous willpower and is only going to continue to improve in her physical rehabilitation. What an inspiration. And, it is in our times of greatest need when you find out who you can really depend on. Her boyfriend is truly her hero. You can't help but give the utmost respect to someone who would sacrifice so much in the face of such an unforeseen situation. He didn't have to stay with her, but he did. He is the embodiment of the man we should all hope we raise our sons to be.
