Just a heads up, we're moving back to MN, today, so for anyone that has a CO address for me it's no longer valid. For the time being, our old Madison Lake, MN address will be where we're at. Mail will be forwarded from our old address.

I'll be back on the site sometime next week.

Wow, a surprise to say the least.

-6* up here right now. (that's the air temp, the windchill is about -25*)

Good luck on the move.

Well, that was fun! Nothing quite like driving the biggest size uhaul full of half your possessions across the Rockies! We made it, and we're finding that moving back into a house goes alot faster than the first time, since you already know where all your crap goes.

And just to keep this cigar related, I essentially chain smoked cigars for the entire 20 hour drive. A few notables include an '04 Mag 46, 98 Fonseca Cosacos, '03 Fonseca Invictos, Oliva Series V lancero, PAM Corona, a couple maduro Hemingways and an H Upmann No. 2.

And also, never underestimate the gain in driving 10 mph faster than others. My wife drove with the kids and dog, able to go the usual 5 mph or so above the speed limit. I drove this giant uhaul, at best doing around 65ish withour fearing for my life. The first night, which was only after about 300+ miles, she beat me to the hotel by about 1.5 hours. The second day, about 850 miles, she beat me to our house by over 2 hours!

Sniff...Sniff I am so jealous.

I hope to get back to Gods Country myself one of these days. I feel like a F'n Gypsy these last few years.

No matter what anyone else says, moving still sucks, and is not on my top 10 list of things to do. Without getting into too much "look at me" drama, let's just say that we're back in MN, moved into a rental house until we sell one of our other two houses, my wife started her job and it's looking very promising, and the kids and everyone is healthy. We got our 4 year old into a preschool for the rest of the year/summer, then Kindgergarten registration is next week. And last but not least, my cigars survived in perfect shape another move across the country. Life could be a whole lot worse... (knock on wood)

And btw, it's stupid cold up here these days, yesterday morning it was -22 F, with wind chills over 50 below.

Sounds like beach weather, ouch :0

Glad to hear you and the family made it safe and sound.

Well no cigar for you on the front porch today!

Cause I can't spelt!
