MSRP info

I was using The Cigar Price Search Engine, but it seems to be down at the moment. So where else besides the great pinned threads here can I go for this info.

I ask, because I am lurking on a few passes, and would like to start to try and make some hypothetical puts/takes.

A great question; kudos for asking for advice...... :thumbs:

The big online retailers are a good source of info. I usually check several sources and average the asking prices. As a start, in no particular order (and certainly not limited to) would be:

- Cigars International
- Holt's
- JR Cigars
- Cigar King
- Billboard Tobacco
- Famous Smoke
- ...etc.

Also, when you are in a pass, there is one and only one "real" authority you have to answer to - the pass originator. Evey one I've ever dealt with is perfectly willing to check over your puts and takes via PM before you post them, and will tell you if you're on track or not. Age and rarity also play into the equation, making it a little more complicated than straight "MSRP". If you propose a P/T and they tell you "not quite", it's not a put down, but rather a bit of continuing education into the cigar trading game we all like to play. It's a great way to learn.....
