I have had such a great experience on CP, with cigars and other members I had to pipe up (tobacco pun intended).

As a newb, I've had fun making new friends and even creating small ruckuses (rucki?) when I made newb mistakes. Everyone's been nice/welcoming/etc. I can't believe people I don't know would send me incredibly good/valuable cigars (Nasty, Strayvector, Anthem).

Newb tip: get in on the Newb Sampler. Noki blew me away with what he sent based on the dollar amount we settled on. And - I went for a similar purchase from Anthem - and he bombed me on top of the purchase, too!

I've tried to "pay it forward" by sending some sticks to the military - both individuals and through OpFTH. Also sent a few things to guys on here (and others are getting stuff soon).

I'm unbelievably lucky to have been included in my first box split "Boxes of Chumps." They took a chance on me being the newb and we've had some fun.

I did one major newb mistake: bought a humi that it too small! I went for a beautiful Craftman's Bench with leather exterior that has 100 count. Maybe if I smashed them hard in I'd fit 100, but am lucky if 60 fit.

Anyway - thanks for the great early experiences here. Eager to finally meet up with some folks.

Haha, no hurt feelings..

Niko, Noki, tomayto tomahto!

Sorry man! And from your pics you're not someone to mess around with! I am a subscriber to your blog !

I am humbled by your kind words, but evven more humble that you call me a friend.

I know we are all better for having you here too.

Glad to have you here and to count you as a friend, John. Like Anthem said, we're all that much better for having you be a part of our community.

Jorel,
I feel the same way as you. I made all those newbie mistakes, caused a few uproars, but have stuck around and learned. Even though I bet we'll still make some mistakes, I hope we're on the road and doing things a bit better the last few weeks. I'm glad you stuck around. Cheers, Chad

Agreed, I am still very green here, but love what I see so far. Some of the friendliest people on an internet board I have come across.

Jorel,

I feel the need to chime in here and also express the CP love...I'm a total n00b, and have learned and been treated so very well here. I've had my first real, honest opportunity to look like a FOG and turn someone else on to this place (we should be seeing a new introduction soon!). I know the rules, and won't divulge details, but I am currently basking in the warm, glowing feeling of hooking a (soon to be) Brother up! My initial humi has been completely outgrown, so it, and the assorted beads, cutters, sticks, etc., have been passed to another n00b with links to the appropriate sites (Viper, I'm looking at you! ), and I know we'll have another friend here with us soon.

Thanks to all of you who have welcomed me so openly, and rest assured, I'm loving the whole pay it forward attitude around here.

You all rock!

Have a great weekend!

Trey

John, you're something else!

I'm about to go on a beer run and I meet my mail lady in the hallway and she hands me this package. I quickly open it and find that I have to cross out some of my picks off my wish list.

Jorel, you're turning out to be a great BOTL and CP is a better place having you as one of its constituents :p

From the bottom of my humidor, I thank thee
