A buddy of mine called me just now laughing at the last Xikar newsletter he got a few weeks back....and I had no idea what he was talking about when he asked when the Hell I did that?

About 2 weeks ago I received an e-mail from Xikar asking me my name & addy so they could send me some goodies....which I thought was due to being on their mailing list or having registered a bunch of stuff....you know, something like that. So my friend sends me the LINK to the newsletter and says go to the bottom of page 4 and start reading the story. I read into the second sentence before I realized it was written by me....I forgot I wrote it late one night when I received an e-mail from them asking to write a story about a crazy place you smoked a cigar. I remember now, but I forgot I did it....

Did anyone else here write in?

There are some really cool stories in there, especially from the S/BOTL in the Armed Forces smoking stogies....makes you feel good knowing that when we send sticks over there they do have a positive effect on the troop's moral.....a little piece of home.

So, what started out as a funny thing turned into a heart warming thing

Have a great weekend everybody.

Those are all great stories. I especially enjoyed the brief one from the former Lung Associaton CEO!

This line caught my eye, "....on the dance floor of Studio 54 in NY City, sharing a Macanudo with Andy Warhol and Gilda Radner back in '79 or '80"..........

This should be proof enough that you ARE old! :sign:

Nice story Gary, thank for sharing!
