Some of you may have seen me post this elsewhere - Just putting this out there for fellow enthuists in case anyone wants a new concrete ashtray.  These kick butt for patio use.  Shoot me a PM and I'll send you a 10% off coupon code if you want also!

Two different "colors" - the lighter one is "Natural" and the darker one is "Charcoal".

I had shipping lower than $14 but the first ones I shipped out cost $12.50 just for postage plus they need to be wrapped very well so they don't break.  Each ashtray is 9x6 and weighs over 5lbs - they won't fit in a small flat rate packaged correctly.  I wrap each one in kraft paper and a lot of bubble wrap to make sure its still in perfect shape when it arrives
 
Do you have a link to the box?  After I completely wrapped one in bubble wrap it was right at 12" long and 9" high - just want to be sure it would fit.
 
I don't mind adjust shipping for a better option!

That box is only 2 1/2" thick on the inside - the ashtray with NO bubble wrap around it is almost 2" thick.  The ones that I have been shipping out come to almost 9" high after they are completely wrapped in bubble wrap to protect them.  I've ordered / shipped a lot via USPS and would not trust them without proper padding. 
 
What I would do if I were you is somehow workout some of the shipping cost into your current price. Example $35 to $44 and then charge $5.99. This way people won't feel like they are getting ripped off by shipping. This won't work with us of course because we already know the actual price :laugh:
 
I hear ya - I just try to be as forward as possible.  Shipping in a 12x9 box Priority mail is $12.50 or so - and the other pays for the bubble wrap, box (its not a flat rate box), kraft paper to properly wrap the ashtray, etc.  As much as I'd like to ship these for $5 it's just not possible.
 
I did make a CIGARPASS coupon code for 10% off - so that helps with the overall cost
 


Ordered two and very pleased with quality. Very industrial/rugged look to them. Well packaged with plenty of bubble wrap and brown paper. Won't feel guilty about leaving outside in the elements.
