Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with www.my-cuban-cigars.com. They actually seem to be the alter-ego of one of the sponsors of Cigarpass. The site states to be managed from England but distributed from Switzerland. Judging by the prices, etc., they seem to be legit. Any thoughts? The site that sponsors cigarpass is cuban-cigars-store.com. I would assume that a site with sponsorship must be legitimate.

My first thought is, we usually dont talk about sources on CP.. Course thats the first thought I had. When I started thinking about the thought, you had posted on. Without first thinking about it. :whistling:

Nice, first and only post isn't an introduction, but instead, requesting information on sources. ???

Damn that was funny.

This really isn't a cigar forum, it's 'bait' for the illegal cigar users to come reveal themselves, then we go bust them. Thanks for showing up.

Likewise.

Generally, I believe in giving newcomers to any situation, be it business or pleasure, the benefit of the doubt. I was not aware of certain policies and that was my mistake. No doubt about it. However, a pleasant nudge instead of an insult and being talked down to like vermin would have been more appropriate. Honey instead of vinegar, right? Do we belittle a new business associate because he shows up in the wrong clothes for an event and when, just maybe, that person might be profitable to the firm?

Please note: I live in Italy and Cuban cigars at NOT illegal here. I can get on a bike, get to my Tabacchi in ten minutes, and walk out with ten sticks of Montecristo #2's (did so this morning). I was just curious about dealers in Switzerland. Italy has high taxes and they don't. I've purchased them in person before, in Geneva, but not via mail order.

I think when you sign up there is a disclaimer for joining. I think it is in your best interest to read this and several other cautions that are posted. While we are an international forum with members from all over the world, most of us as US citizens are forbidden from smoking certain types of cigars.

I've seen that you've posted an introduction and a apology. That is a start in the right direction.

Let's not start piling on right out of the gate. A friendly PM might suffice to let him know the mistake he has made, and then see where he takes it from there. We are supposed to be the friendliest cigar forum on the internet, right? ;)

You have no idea what text I put in the 'report' note.

You also don't seem to know the legalities of the Embargo the USA has on Cuba.

They are legal in the country you are in....HOWEVER....they are illegal for YOU (an 'American') to purchase.
