I'm going to my first real cigar event tonight at The Humidor in East Greenwich, RI. The only Romeo y Julieta I've tried was a Habana Reserve that I thought was quite nice. Anybody have suggestions on the rest of the line?

Thanks, Walt

Walt,

You should have a good time! I went to my first cigar event this week as well for Illusione and had a good time. It's a great way to relax and meet a few people.

Have a great time at the event. I know my first couple of events I jsut sat back and listened to everyone. You learn a lot from them.

Have a good time man!

Still waiting to go to my 1st event! soon once the weather kicks in!

I'm assuming I'm a little late, but you should definitely try the Reserva Real line, especially the Figurado if they have it. Great mild-med cigar with a Connecticut wrapper I believe. Very good smoke in my opinion.

Great time last night. Met somebody with the same last name, though we're not quite sure if related or not. Had to bite the bullet and accept that I don't have the money that I had when working, to be spending on cigars (Tickets were $25 which went toward a box purchase and a raffle). So I didn't smoke more than the Habana Reserve handed to me at the door. Great food, met some good people and had some great conversations. I won the box of Love Stories that was raffled. Gave half the box to the guy I met with the same last name (both of us talked of splitting a box but neither could afford to), handed out several more, and came home with a few short smokes for my humidor. The owner introduced me around to the regulars as one of her favorites. All in all I had a good time... :)

Nice play, Walt! That was really good of you to share the sticks, I'm sure the other fellow appreciated it greatly. Sorry that times are tough and you couldn't snag a box or two...don't worry, there will be plenty of other events down the road. I still have yet to be to my first event, but I have my name on a couple lists at different B&M's so hopefully the next time one happens I will be given a call. Sounds like you had a great time though, and having the owner introduce you as one of her favorites had to feel pretty good! How was the Habana Reserve? It's probably my favorite out of the RyJ line, especially in the Robusto size, and its a cheap smoke on top of that!
