I noticed the hygrometer said 65% does that make a difference if the cello is on or not and at what altitude is it best?
I don't believe at what altitude makes a difference at all, as long as your RH is good, then your fine. Cello on or off is basically personal prefernce really, although some believe that it holds humidity better. Personally I keep mine on, but you will find just as many keep them off as on, it's a highly debated question, no right or wrong answer.
