Thanks to the generosity of lucasbuck, which is both a blessing and a curse. Blessing because of the great selection of sticks he sent me in a newbie sampler. Curse because every time I look I think Oooo I should try that, followed by no I can’t try that I only have one I will have to wait on that, maybe that one no that’s too good/special as well and on and on.
Anyway I just had a Partagas Short and OMG….. WOW.
I wish I had the sophisticated palate to put into words what I was tasting but I don’t and most of you already know all about that any way. All I can say is it was wonderful. The tastes were great and it definitely changed on the way through, great burn, ash all that and soooo tasty. WOW.
Thanks again to lucasbuck, now I guess I know somewhat what all the hype is about and it’s not just hype.

I have only been around a month or so and never really said Hello to everyone so I should get that out of the way as well, Hello from wet SW Florida.
This is a great place to hang out and read, and I have received lots of help and good advice as well. Thanks again to anyone I have come in contact with I hope at some point I can return the favors/advise.

Party Shorts are very popular which I have never been able to understand. I bust lucasbuck about this all the time.

I really do not like those cigars. Bolivar Corona Juniors, Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas and San Cristobal de la Habana are ALL that same size cigar which is a "Minuto" and IMO they are ALL far better than those freakin' Party Shorts.

RASCC's are hard to find, especially this time of year but the BCJs are fairly easy to come across as are the SCs ;)

Try those sometime then compare them to your Party Short experience and I'd bet you'll find others better.

There is NO HOPE for Craig on this one :D
 
Coventrycat86: Better than that? Wow that's hard to imagine I was just blown away.

Of course what do I know at this point? Not much.

I have noticed though that in just a real short time, I have gone from thinking that some of the milder smokes were just great to now (after I purchased some of course), thinking that "Gee this tastes kind of Blah". Not just because of the above mentioned one either that was special, just in general. Now I want to taste something other than just the smoke.

Does this mean there is no hope for me now? Am I doomed?

I will write those names down just in case.
