Lots of you guys know that I work for Intel and am a hardware design engineer doing server grade Ethernet adapters. Our department's very own Pete Cibula is today's "rock star" as he takes the guys from Tom's Hardware on a tour of the "X-Lab"....the lab where the performance of our next generation Ethernet adapters is tested and evaluated:

This was Pete's time to get the credit he deserves, but I will brag a little and tell you guys I designed every adapter in the pictures.....:)

A nice article....hope the bitheads among us enjoy it.

Cheers - B.B.S.

I do now, and have to say that sounds like a pretty cool job! I skimmed through the pics in the article, which I'll have to sit and read later when I have some time. Did you get the chance to talk to the guys from Tom's?

Tom's Hardware has a local guy who writes for them, and he brings an photog with him. No, I didn't get to talk to them.....didn't even get mentioned....!!.....:p

You mean you're not Tom?
....of course I am Tom, just not "the" Tom......

Really nice!

I love Intel network adapters, best drivers on the planet!

that's freaking cool man

I worked for Intel here in Colorado Springs (F23) as a level 3 defect metrology (DEFMET) :D. I didn't want to relocate when corporate decided to cease operations, so I decided to separate from the company. I had tan opportunity at F32, AZ is too damn hot. I would have loved OR but couldn't find a position (2007) in Hillsboro at the time.

I did our nets for 12 years, so it all looks familiar. Dandy article and I've always help Intel in high regards. Bur, if Randy call make it, and Matt could make it, and the group could make it, I'm disappointed you were not included.

Best thing was seeing that flux capacitor. Who would have thunk?
