I've been really trying to squirrel some cash away for a nice bike and the wife offered to make up the diff if I found one. My new to me ride is awesome. 2007 Kona Dew Deluxe, has a cateye computer and light with a rear red strobe, upgraded seat with the seatpost shock by specialized. Some great, "bullet proof" tires, we'll see about that;)
Got a great deal on it. It's funny how she will offer to help pay for the bike but she seems to think I have waaaaaaayyyyyyyyy to many cigars and won't help fund any more of those! The Clock'idor is barely full and most all the sticks are singles I barely have any multiples of certain sticks. I'll never understand women, or them me it seems. :rolleyes:
btw, that's not a ploy for send me sticks, I can't seem to find time to smoke the ones I have, just found it funny how the women are with certain things we hold dear and they don't.

Why did you take the basket off of the front? :laugh: :laugh:
The easter bunny didn't fit it anymore so I booted him. First thing I took off was the bell the guy had on it. Going to make some changes on the handlebars but not sure what yet.
smarta&& ;)

Yeah, this way I can totally flip the thing over when I stop now instead of just lifting the back end a little ;)
Fits great and had everything I was going to have to buy anyway but for a much nicer price than the local shop. Now for that handlebar surgery!

You laugh, but on the first ride when I put my discs on my MTB, I did flip the thing while cleated into the pedals on a mountainside in CA. Now that I am in Chicago, I miss being a twenty minute car ride from single tracks. But, judging from the stiffy front fork it doesn't look like you'll bombing down fireroads at 25 mph. :p Regardless, by carefull, enjoy, and wear a helmet!!

BTW, Kona makes a good bike, nice find.

I've been on the hunt for 6 months. The wife couldn't understand what a good deal this was until I started listing the costs of everything. The bike alone was $300 less than I would have paid at the local shop! No way I could have afforded this thing without the almighty craigslist.
Need to find a helmet and some toe clips or cage. Need to get some chain lube and then give it a quick clean and wax. It's great to have something nice to ride again! I have this dual suspension thing from Sam's club that I ride with the kids, it's cool but not something I would want on a long ride.

Wow, bikes have changed a lot since I bought my Mountain Bike, :blush: disc brakes, suspension, man I need a new bike, looks awesome, I don't know why anyone would want toeclips IMHO, If I need to bail, I'm Bailing, not stuck to my bike so it can skewer me when we land, I have pedals with teeth though and they can bite you too!

What kind of rearview mirror is that? That is what I need next. LOL, I just bought a bulb horn and a cupholder for my bike. I need a better headlight, mine is a cheapo that uses "C" batteries and they don't last.

If you can get one of those with a Hello Kitty decal I'm in ;)
