My Rocky Patel journey

I am leary about new RP blends only because I don't like most of his stuff...ahummm Summer Collection!!!

I'm definitely going to give the Renaissance a try though. I love my sumatra!

So we've mentioned the Edge Maduro and Sumatra, but I'd also like the throw the Corojo out there. It's one of my go-to sticks, very well-balanced, great flavor, finishes great. And they're pretty cheap too! ;)

I really enjoy the Rosados and Olde World Reserve Maduros. Imho both are distinctive smokes that are well worth trying. I've tried quite a few of the rest of the smokes listed, and at least to my green palate they all seem like yet another ok cigar.

He also makes the Cruz Real line for FSS. If you haven't tried these, PM me your addy. I have a bunch I got as freebies, and would be happy to send some your way.

Thanks for the smokes! More than I expected, very nice of you. I'll have to search the humi and try to find some I think you might like! I'll let you know, probably after the holiday.

Lighting up an RP rosado shortly, first cigar in a week or so and I'm looking forward to it! Also tried the Cruz Real's, those are a bit spicy for my liking, the almost burning sensation on the back of my tongue was something else.

Not too long ago, decided to get a sampling of RP smokes. The two that I enjoyed were the Old World Reserve Maduro , and the Edge Light Torpedo. The 90 & 92 lines didn't taste anything like they used to.

Though I have only scratched the surface of Rocky Patel's offerings (The Decade, Vintage 1990 & 1992, and Sun Grown), I have yet to smoke one that I didn't enjoy. I have an Edge maduro resting in my humidor right now and I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the Olde World.

Irecently got these from a friend in a trade. I haven't tried one yet but they smell and look great. Have you had these yet? I'm curious about there flavor. I'm letting them rest for the next couple weeks after their travel time.

I have a few RP's that I have not gotten the chance to enjoy yet. I have heard the Edge is a good stick

HM, I've had one of the RP maduro edges. The one I had was good but way too strong for me. I have another resting in the humi and maybe sometime next year will try it again. So far I think I've lucked out with RP, I know from reading here that it appears his quality control is slipping but so far I've only had a couple I didn't like.

Sitting at the dog track losing money. Smoking a cuban blend robusto. Little strong/bold for me but I refuse to give up. Little nic buzz going. After this one I'm trying the american market selection robusto.

Working on the american market selection. Not gonna be a fav. I don't really mind the taste but not my thing. I'll have to light up a vintage one tomorrow.
