As some may know, my father-in-law has a house in the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. This past weekend was our annual summer drunk and disorderly weekend with a bunch of our friends. Well, we decided to hike a nice trail in Waterville Valley called the Cascades trail. It is a few miles long and follows a small river with many small waterfalls in it. the trail rating is 2 out of 5 and is considered a "less challenging" trail. The first 1/2 mile is a 45 degree hill and then gets into the woods and gets less steep. Well, after a few hours of hiking and lunch and all that, we decide to return, upon leaving the wood to the steep grade again. I walk about 40 steps and I hear a loud POP in my left knee and some hella pain under my knee cap. I used to run track and cross country in highschool, so I am no stranger to bad knees and ankle pains, but this was different. Anyhow, after a day of hella pain and many a drink and gar later, the doc in the ER tells me I partially torn a ligament and need a brace for a week or 2, while it heals.
Aside from the mishap, we had a great weekend! hope i didn;t bore you.... :D

Hope you get well soon, sucks to have to walk around in a brace.

I have turned both ankles so bad several times that the docs just started putting me in casts for a couple of weeks each time. Nothing like having ankles the size of softballs to keep you from walking. :(

The only thing I hate more than back injuries are knee injuries. So - how far can you twist your knee cap around these days? :p
