Name that cigar!

My wife just brought home this cigar as part of my b-day present . She was excited and said that it was a real "cuban" . I coaxed it out of her that it is pre embargo. she paid about $12 for it (ouch). My question is what is it? I suspect Pinar.

Looks like some Pinars I saw at the Tinder Box in Memphis Wednesday. Looking at it that would be my guess.

It's (the cigar)about 6 inches in length. She won't tell me what store she got it from. I haven't heard anything good about Pinar.

Looks like the Pinars we carried in the Tinder Box. They also went for $12. I'm not as down on them as some around here, but I think there are MUCH better cigars out there for that price

id have to agree with the pinar, prolly dyed, see if the color comes off the wrapper with a damp paper towel.kinda hit and miss as far as taste go from my dealings with them.

Whether it's good or not, all that matters is that your wife was thoughtful enough to buy you a cigar. Most folks, well some, on here simply don't have spouses that are as supportive of thier smoking habits!

And it's all what you make of it, and whether or not you enjoy it anyways, so nevermind us, fire it up and see what you think!

good luck my friend, if it sucks that is. cause you will have to pretend that is the best cigar you have ever had in your life!!! lol dont forget to be thankful for her thinking of you like that of course . . . listen to me . . . who am i to say that, im sure you know what to do. geez, this is definately worse than a bad casserole though . . . hang in there if its crappy. really nice of your wife to do this though
