One of the hotest tracks to catch a race at and they are already sold out for next years two (2) races. I called the Bristol ticket office and they said that they still have some 2006 tickets available. I scratched my head and said "damn". What the hell, I bought four (4) tickets for the March 2006 race and will put them away for safe keepin'..... :D  :p

Anyway, I'm goin' over to the local watering hole in about an hour and watch some good rubbin' and bangin' on the high banks of Bristol. Should be a good time. One of the owners is a ceegar smoker and when I bring him a good one, free beers all night.

The bristol night race is by far the best race all season. My brother lives in TN, and one of his employees gets 10 tickets to each bristol cup race. They were on the waitin list for 7 years to get the season tickets. Look out for tony stewart tonite :D

Ah CRAP :( I wished I'd checked to boards before my card game last night. We had the TV on in the background and they were watching the freakin' Olympics. If I'd known the race was on.........

Junior is my favorite as well

I've never understood why turning left excites people so much ??? SCCA is the way to go

Tony is my favorite! I just got his autograph last week while he was in Michigan, along with crew chief Greg Zippadelli!

Tony did ok at the race, but far from what he expected to do. He will be back next week. I think he does better when he craps his pants

Bristol is one the best tracks. Ticket availability and prices have gone crazy!!! My dad started taking to me to races with him in 1983. We use to go to five or six a year. It was nothing for us to go to Bristol, Rockingham, Charlotte, Darlington, North Wilkesboro (closed in 1997, I think) and Martinsville all in one season. Hell, we even went to Richmond (when it was at the old fairgrounds) and Dover a few times. But, with ticket prices and the popularity of sport now were lucky if make one or two a year. :(

But, I think Bristol is the best bang for your buck. Personally I like the short tracks better. The night race at Richmond is also a good one and Martinville always has some great action. Darlington which my dad starting going to races there in 1959 also has alot great racing.

To get an idea of how much Bristol Motor Speedway has grown next you see the movie Days of Thunder. They show a overhead view of speedway at one point in beginning of movie. If you have TiVo or the movie on tape or dvd you might want to pause it because it's quick shot. You'll be amazed on how much the place has grown. :0
