I love smoking my cigars, it brings me great relaxation. I have smoked and enjoyed Gurkha Nepalese Warrior, CAO Brazillia, Macanudo Gold, and quite a few of the $8-$12 Fuentes.

So here's where I need advice...I want to try some higher shelf smokes. To see what all the hype is about, and to taste what everyone seems to think are the best of the best in cigars. I see you guys posting about lots of names I've never seen or heard of before, but everyone seems to think very highly about.

So, anyone who wants to guide me, what (seeing the flavor and strength I enjoy above) should I pick up? I don't mind trying different stuff, but if I'm gonna drop the cash into it, I'd like to grab something I at least think I'll enjoy.

Oh my, I think I've just exposed myself as a n00b cigar lover.

Only you will get to know what you enjoy because as we all know, life is subjective.

Go to your local B&M, select several premium smokes and take it from there.

In the mean time, why don't you do a newbie purchase Linky. Usually the FOG will send you a
selection of sticks based on the amount of bucks you send him. However, you can request premiums between certain price ranges, I'm sure a FOG will accommodate you.

Lots of people enjoy the La Flor Dominican Chisels.... even me being a newb I liked it, even though it was way to strong for me at my level, but I will probably get a box and wait next time before I step up.

I am at about the same stage in cigar smoking as you. You may not be ready for them I have found this out. You have to work up to them slowly. Many of the high end smokes are loved because of their complexity but as a noob we don't have the pallet for that so you might not like it. I have a few higher end smokes just waiting untill I think I am ready for them. Just my $2 for all its worth.
