Need Some Advice For a Friend

My friend has a friend who's getting married soon. Those two and another friend plan to spend one day together before the wedding just hanging out doing their favorite things together. So, they'll start the morning with a round of golf. When they're finished they'll probably grab a light lunch and head out for a run on the boat to do some sightseeing and fishing. When the evening rolls around it's spirits and food on the grill in the backyard. He wants me to help him to go the local shop and pick out a cigar for each guy for three events; golf, boating, grilling. Do you guys have any specific recommendations for them from personal experience? They smoke about 2-3 a year, basically whenever something big happens and don't exactly remember what they smoked or what they liked. Help is appreciated.

Off hand, my picks for them would be:

Golf : Fuente Sun Grown Royal Salute or Fuente Canones
Boating ERDM Robusto Larga
Grilling: Padron Annis

My picks would be...

Golf is the first thing on the list, so something light. HdM Excalibur

Boating: After a nice lunch... hmmmm, something a bit more kick than the brunch smoke. DPG Blue(creamy)/Black(woody). If no DPGs then maybe an AVO, the Domaine is preferred with some personal bias.

Grilling: Big Dinner then some libations. This calls for a cigar of equal magnitude. PAM/1926 serie are an excellent choice. LFD oscuro naturals are also great, maybe the Factory Press II, Mysterio, Limitada, the list goes on. I'm not sure about what spirits are going to be consumed, but that may be a big factor in what cigar to smoke. DCMs are also tasty if you can find them, as well as the La Aurora Preferidos.
