We have been waiting since May 28th, when the litter was born, our breeder called a few weeks ago and told us, the end of july was the day we could pick up our new pup. He is an English Springer Spaniel, and his name is Zane, and has the most beautiful set of green eyes.
Been a pure joy so far, he actually slept most of last night and hasn't had an accident in the house (yet). He may not be able to smoke a cigar, but he can make some dog rockets, let em know if you guys need any, they are in abundance.

We added a chihuahua to our family over Christmas. It's the first dog I've had in 20 years because the wife is allergic. The size and lack of shedding on this little sumbitch doesn't affect her allergies. She's gone from having a fear of dogs to having another little one in the house. She spoils the little fokker rotten.
 
Congrats on the new guy! He is a beauty. I grew up with 4 dogs in my house, and a springer was one of them. He was definitely the most playful of the bunch. I hope your guy is as great to you as mine was for me.
 
They are great dogs! Mine is 10 now and has barely slowed down. His eye color will darken as well.

Man, once again... I'm envious!!! Our place is just too damn small for a dog! The last dog I had one, I was about 5yrs. old!!!

Always a joy gettin a new pup, its a looker. I hope things work out well for ya.


As far as a cigar smoking dog you just gotta train em right.

You couldn't have picked a better dog to get, IMHO. They make the most affectionate, well behaved, sweet tempered dogs. He has some beautiful markings and a nice liver color and near perfect point for just a pup. Congrats.

I love the flying dog pics Hillbilly! I had to go after Saturn three times this weekend and make her get out of the river. Those damn Canada Geese must have been talking sh*t because she wasn't having any of them!
