New Ashtray

Hey, just wanted to share my new ashtray with everyone. It was given to me by my Wife's Grandfather yesterday. All I know about it is, it was given to them in the 1960's by some close friends after her Grandparents adopted her Father. From looking at the ashtray and finding a small sticker on the bottom that I could barely read, I found out it is from Italy and I believe it is made of quartz (not sure though.) Just wanted to share it with everyone i'm pretty proud to put this baby to use!

Thats pretty cool man. It looks like quartz to me, but I am not geologist. Congrats.

Awesome ashtray man, it looks like a beaut. Jeez, if it was given as a gift to your wifes grandfater in the 60s it must be really old. Were you given any kind of idea as to when it was initially made?

Very cool piece. I've got a few pieces of granite laying around and this makes me want to go get some dremel masonry bits to create my own.

Not too sure as to when it was made. I do know that they are in the process of looking for another ashtray that was given to them around the same time. All I know about that one for now is it's onyx, needless to say I can't wait to see that one.
