New B&M in Southern Illinois!

Hey guys!!

Here's the scoop. There's a building on W. Main St. in Benton, IL that used to be a VideoTime rental store. About 2 weeks ago I noticed some painting and whatnot going on there and thought to myself - nonchalantly - "That'd be a good location for a smoke shop". Well, yesterday, the sign out front said "Opening Sept 1, Benton's first and only...?" I drive by today and the sign says "The Smoke Break, Specialty Tobacco store". HOW FRIGGIN EXCITING!!!! The next closest real B&M is at least 30 minutes away from me, now I have one within walking distance!


Anyway, YTM: you need to come up and check out this place with me some day! I'm going there tomorrow after I get off work!

Sounds sweet. Let me know when they open up how the selection looks. I'm a big fan of the owner of yesteryear, so I can't see myself driving out there much, but another shop is cool.

So I went in today and talked to the owners a little bit. They have very little stock but the way they talked sounded promising. The walk-in isn't complete yet but they said it's going to be a controlled environment at 70/70. They said they waited on ordering until they talked to some prospective customers on what they like and their sign says "Now taking requests".

Anyway, I'm hoping this place blossoms into something that is very nice. The pricing on cigarettes and chew were close to the cheapest in town so maybe cigars will follow suit.
