I've got several cigar boxes in that I'm getting ready to make into clocks. As of now, NONE of these are done, but I will reserve them on a first come first serve basis. All clocks as usual are $35 unless otherwise listed and of course that includes shipping with DC#. This time around I'd prefer to sell them outright as opposed to trading as I'm getting ready to start building my armoire and need to get the temp/humidification controls and of course lumber, but if you want to trade, that's fine too.

I have a little problem here. The Volusinator is selling clocks...I think for a profit in the Buy, Sell, Trade area. This area is not for making a profit. It is for helping people aquire things at cost...Not for making a little extra cash.

If he is going to be a retailer he needs to post in the proper section. If he is not making a profit he needs to show the actual cost for making the clocks.

Would you like a bill of materials with a costing? Did you try contacting Wade via pm before calling him out in public? I would hope you gave him that courtesy considering you "think for a profit". Getting the facts straight is usually the way to go before posting publicly imo.

Wade should have posted his cost at the opening thread...That is the way it is done. Go back and read other sales in this area. If he wants to avoid being called out he should be open about his costs.

If you want to buy these clocks have at it.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong and I may be but isn't it a commom courtesy that a brother not turn a profit rather than a rule? BTW I do follow and agree that common courtesy rules.

In an instance like this I'm also not sure how you put a value on his time and labor, perhaps as an artist it is invaluable to him? Perhaps he cranks them out by the dozens but I'm in no position to judge that. I think they are fair deals and I even made a purchase site unseen.

How do you figure the price of labour in building and finishing each clock?

I traded with Wade for one and believe that $35 in sticks was very fair for what I got.
