have any of you guys tried out the tabamex (mexican) cigars?

If you all haven't noticed from my previous posts, I am all about the spending as little mula as possible when I'm looking for good everyday smokes. I already am wicked happy with the 5 Vegas Golds that I bought (I got two boxes of them) and I smoke one or two daily, don't have any problem handing them out to someone when they want to join me for a smoke, or if they just want to try them. I love them.
Just trying to add a little variety to the everyday stock and was thinking of the Tabamex, either maduro or natural ...don't matter. So was wondering if any of you have given these a try and if so, what did you think?

Mexican binders are ok, Mexican filler is ok when it is kept to a minimum. Otherwise Mexican cigars suck. Buy some Consuegra's...

Id have to agree with emo, Consuegras are really good cigars for only $23.00 for 25. They have a great burn, great construction, and a great taste.

Really?
Thanks for the advice. What is the main problem with Mexican cigars? Harshness? Bitterness? Or is it more along the lines of being so bland that they actually don't have an identity of their own?
Most Mexican cigars taste like earthy shit. The top end TeAmo's are mediocre. There is a really high tarrif on imported tobacco in Mexico. And Mexican tobacco is generally marginal at best. Hendrik Kelner Seconds roll in at $2 a gar. After 2-3 months these generally are bettter than a yard gar. At a year, they are as good as most premiums. SO it really depends on what your time line is.

Smoked a couple many moons ago and was not impressed with either the taste or the construction.

If you want to try a cigar with Mexican tobacco in it try the A. Turrents. Made by the family that makes Te-Amos. Has a Mexican Criollo wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder and Mexican filler. Great taste. The only downside with the ones I have smoked has been they have been a little on the soft side. But that has not affected the taste or the burn.
