As far as your questions, if you use the search feature you'll find your answers. Always use that first.
For now I would keep them in an air tight container like tupperware and use the humidifier inside. It will work fine until your humidor is seasoned
As for the PG solution, i'm not 100% sure but I wouldn't do it. You don't want the wood to end up warping.

Leave the cigars sealed in a ziplock baggy and they'll be fine until you're ready to put them in the humidor. Don't waste PG solution on wiping down the inside of your humidor, just use distilled water. A little goes a long ways, keep that in mind... You don't want to warp the wood.

I would most certainly advise against it.
Keep in mind the following 2 factors:
1. The spanish cedar which lines your humi is there to absorb excess moisture in the air of your humi and release it when the humi needs it.
2. Glycol does NOT humidify, in fact it's characteristic most pertinent to us is that it doesn't readily evaporate. It is there to help prevent mold and bacteria. It may also help regulate the your humis rh by preventing the distilled water from evaporating and therefore humidifying unevenly.
You don't want the cedar saturated with something that will sit there and not "breathe moisture".
In general, but especially with a humi that is probably not the absolute best construction given the price, wiping down is not a great idea. You run the serious risk of warping. Maybe a bit in away from seams and edges to quicken the process. Best to let the humidifier or boveeda seasoning kit do its job which can take 2-3 weeks.
Meanwhile, ziplocs or tupperwares with a distilled water soaked sponge or paper towel (or a humipak) will do the trick.

I didn't wipe my new humi down with distilled water and it is working fine. Why risk ruining the wood?
Put a small bowl or shot glass even of distilled water in it, close it and don't touch it for 2 days. Calibrate a Hygrometer, put in there and when it reaches a steady RH, put your sticks in and you should be set.

I have three humidors, all holding perfect 65% RH and none were wiped down. I used the shot glass method and has served me well till now.

Thanks for all the great replies, seems as if I have much to learn still. The humi is currently sitting at 63%, but I did perform the dw wipedown. I did this on Tuesday and Thursday, hope I didnt cause any damage. I also have a shot glass filled with dw and activated the humidifier with pg solution. Seems like i'm rushing things a bit. Hope I dont pay dearly for my newb mistakes.

I wiped down my first humi without hurting it, just as long as you didn't leave it wet. As far as the next two humis i did not wipe them down i also just put a shot glass of DW in it for a few days, all 3 are on average at 63% and it seems fine for my sticks. Trust Henry in a very short time space will be limited if you stick around here, I'm doing a winodor project starting next week because of it. Just keep doing a search on these topics and you will find a wealth of information.

Well... unless you soak the wood or the humidor is made out of cardboard it should be ok. Besides, for the price you paid, I just can't imagine paying dearly for it!
As time goes by you'll come to realize the humidor is the least of the investment... the real investment is consumable (and most certainly perishable.)Best of luck.
