Well cigars probably only interest me from some seinfeld episodes(big seinfeld fan). I've only smoked a few swisher sweets from gas station shops, grape and strawberry to be exact. I like smoking them after doing a shot or while drinking.

Do you guys and gals have some recommendations for me? Are there any better cigars I can get from the gas station? Theres some cigar shops around, again I'm looking for cheap stuff. I like gas stations because theres plenty around and they are always open. I'm looking for ones that are under $3.

I'm a pretty mellow person, hardly drink, don't smoke cigarettes and never will. I only want to smoke cigars like one night a week, in social situations or if its really nice outside.

Thanks in advance for the help, I'll linger around the forums more. This is kinda my intro post too. I didn't want to make two threads, so hi from south Florida!

EDIT: oh do you know of a site that has cigar ranks? like I could look at cigars $0-5 and see the top rated ones?

This sure seems an awful lot like an April Fool's post/thread. October Fool's perhaps? :whistling:

I doubt any gas station has a large cigar variety. Shouldn't take long to try at least one of each type. Enjoy the quest.

well sorry for being an ameteur.

well sorry for being an ameteur.
Boy, I'll say.

First off, it's 'amateur'.

Secondly, there is more information contained within these pages than you can imagine. All one has to do is read, search, and pay attention. There is lots to learn and a ton of it can be found right here.

Third, had you spent any time at all reading and getting the "feel" of the forums, you'd have learned that there is a high value placed on folks who take the time to do a little research on their own, try a few things, and ask good questions. The converse is also true; folks that don't search, don't care to do any homework, and basically expect to be spoon fed are usually roasted pretty quickly.

It's not complicated, and it's not even a "hard room to play" but like any social group, there are some things that go over well and some that don't. It's not hard to figure out. If you're serious and take some advice, you'll do well and have a good time here. If you're pulling our collective leg, you're in for a rough ride.

The choice is entirely yours.

Alright, I'll do some research and get back with some specific questions. Thanks for the advice, oh and I was typing on my iphone and it's hard getting the grammer correct.

Post a "real" introduction thread in the appropriate place. That would be a good first step......

Have fun - B.B.S.

Now that's the way to respond.

Gabe, what you have been smoking is not cigars, it's crap. I assume you have not been inhaling them.

Cigar smoking is a hobby, it's also a taste that develops over time. If you are serious about this hobby, go to your B&M, tell the guy what you enjoy taste wise and he will
recommend several cigars based on your price range. Then start smoking anything and everything until you settle into a taste profile.

Good luck.

Gabe ~

Gas stations have backwoods. They should be in your price range and come in a variety of flavors. A pack of 8 is about $4.

And welcome to CP! Stay, enjoy and LEARN!

Brian is right Gabe, you will not find anything worth smoking or calling a "cigar" behind the counter at a gas station.

The best advice I can give you is go to your nearest B&M, ask the same question you're asking here, and listen to the answer.

Also, if they have any Padron 2000's (about $3-$5 a piece depending on where you get them) grab one and smoke your first "real" yet affordable cigar.

I want to recommend that you go to the thread i started a couple of weeks ago, it's called best cheap cigars. some good cigars in the thread.

Fonseca 5-50's, Romeo y Julieta 1875's, and Rocky Patel Connecticuts are all good beginner cigars.

You can't buy these at gas stations, but Cigars International is a good online site to buy from.

Hope this helps.
