AFTER 90 YEARS IN THE TOBACCO BUSINESS, TORAÑO COMMEMORATES THE OCCASION WITH THE NOVENTA.

In 1916, Don Santiago Toraño emigrated from Spain to grow tobacco in Cuba's Pinar del Rio region. The family's holdings grew to 17 tobacco farms throughout Cuba before the Toraños fled the island in 1960 after Castro siezed their land. Now, having become cigarmakers, the Toraños will release the Noventa (Spanish for 90) Series. The Nicaraguan puros have a wrapper grown in Pueblo Nuevo, near Estel., and will come in three sizes: robusto, toro and torpedo.

Just got off the phone with Carlos and he said the cigars will be available at the end of August, beginning of September.
M.S.R.P. should be between $8 & $12.

I finally saw these in the store today. Anybody amoke one yet? What say you?

Yeah, they're expensive. :) I heard some good things about it but just haven't committed to paying 10.00 for it.

I enjoy a few cigars from in the Torano line. I am a fan of the Virtuoso and every now and again will throw an Exodus Silver and/or Gold into the mix. I was pretty excited about the Noventa and fired up a toro about two weeks ago. For me, it wasn't anything spectacular. In fact, it was just an average cigar for me. I gave one to a friend who is a big Torano fan and he was sorely disappointed as well. It looked great and smoked pretty well but the flavor was lacking. Just because I didn't necessarily care for it, I will not say it was a bad cigar - it's just not for me (even at half the price). Just my $0.02.
