Fucking Pandas
After my foray into the world of Cuban Cigars, I thought that I should provide a space to share what I love about cigars form other countries. I'll refer to them as New World cigars. I have assembled some of my favorite cigars from the Dominican and Nicaragua which I have been smoking recently and decided to dedicate a review series to them. The initial picture shows what I plan to start off with, however I will likely add cigars to this review series as I come across them. This was just to get started. I hope you enjoy this.

2022-02 Davidoff Colorado Claro Special R
I love Davidoffs but they are one of the few cigars that has a distinct flavor to them that I usually don't get with any other brand- wet grass. 1/3: Fresh cut grass covered in morning dew. 2/3: Fondu chocolate with fresh cherries. 3/3: Bread yeast with cinnamon. Davidoffs are pricey but worth...

2022-03 Tatuaje Havana VI Verocú Blue #1
Tatuaje cigars is what got me into cigars. First box I ever bought was a box of Cabaiguan Corona Extras. I love their stuff and they made me love Nicaraguan tobacco over all others. This new release is exciting and so I'm happy to give it a go. 1. Nicaraguan spice immediately upon the light...

2022-05 Tatuaje La Riqueza 2022
Back in the day, these were plentiful and regular production. Then sometime in 2017, that all stopped. The magical river of La Riquezas stopped flowing and the people of Cigar'ville got sad. Hard times fell upon them and the world went dark and grey. Then in 2022, the magical dragon of...

2022-08 PIV Robusto from the Jeremy Piven Collection (2021)
I loved Entourage and anything made from Illusione is worth taking a gander at. Additionally, using tobacco from Aganorsa is a huge draw for me. Especially the Corojo 2012 found in the HVC 10th Anniversary which is my favorite HVC cigar todate. 1/3: I have not smoked enough Illusione cigars...

2022-09 LG Diez Cubano (~2009) from La Flor Dominicana
I've been missing these cigars for longer then I can remember and then a friend found a few boxes a year or two ago and I was able to grab a box. Talk about vintage. 1/3: Starts off as medium, with a dash of sweet spice which then brings on the sweetness of the milk left after eating a bowl of...

2022-10 Craft from RomaCraft (2022)
Each cigar in the box has a different wrapper design so each cigar will likely taste differently. This one has a lot of candella on the foot so that will make this taste different then one that doesn't have the same design. 1/3: The candella on the foot is very noticable. Full bodied with some...

2022-11 Davidoff 702 Series 2000
I do love the 702 series and the corona sized cigar is always a treat. 1/3: Vanilla, Oak and subtle barnyard notes. 2/3: Cappuccino. The last bit of the middle third brings back some of that grassiness or barnyard. 3/3: Barnyard and coffee. So good. Such a good stick. Try one, but go for the...

2022-13 Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich Habano Corona Gorda by Espinosa
This is the Habano version of Guy Fieri's new ciga with Espinosa Cigars. The maduro will come along next. I like Guy Fieri though i am not a big food reality tv follower and I like Espinosa cigars so I was glad that I found this at a B&M while on vacation. 1/3: This starts out with an enormous...

2022-14 Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich Maduro Corona Gorda by Espinosa
This is the Maduro version, same size. 1/3: Charred meat. Not nearly as in your face as the Habano. 2/3: Edamame and salt. Part of me is envisioning Guy making a meal that this cigar represents. 3/3: I don't know how to describe this but it is delicious. I like the maduro more then the...

2022-15 Powstanie Wojtek 2021
For those of you not familiar with Powstanie, they are made out of the RoMa Craft factory. If you like RoMa Craft, you will like these. Personally, I think there are better than most of the RoMa Craft stuff, but it also is an LE so it probably does not lend itself to an even comparison to the...

2022-17 Moon Garden 'Painted by Moonlight' by Warped
The last time I smoked a Warped cigar was 7 years ago. I remember it being really good, but I could never find them anywhere and when I did, I didn't want to pay their price. I caved on a sampler during a moment of retail therapy and this was one from that sampler. 1/3: Black pepper in spades...

2022-19 West Tampa White

I don't know if this is considered a Warped cigar or if Kyle Gellis, the owner of Warped has started a subcompany, but his name was on the band. 1/3: Powdery. And the fragrance of jasmine blossoms, or whatever that white flower is used on Lei's. 2/3: Cantaloupe with the acidity of vine ripened...

Box pressed toro. 1/3: Medium bodied but spice on the retro hale. Backing spice. 2/3: Baker's spice continues with some brown sugar. 3/3: Brown sugar and melted butter. Red pepper too. More of a Nicaraguan profile.

2022-24 Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label, toro
This happens to be @kann 's go to cigar, and for good reason. Years after its release, it is still box worthy. 1/3: Nic spice through the nose. And bread. 2/3: Sour dough and berries. Specifically a black and raspberry mix. 3/3: Salted soft pretzels. Box worthy.

2022-26 Texas Lancero by Alec Bradley
I did my best but it was too easy to give up on. 1/3: Cardboard and sorrow. I did not make it past the first half inch. It was, surprisingly, very hard to draw on. Now partly due to its size but it was also somehow a very restrictive draw as well. I would have not thought i would ever need...

2022-27 La Madrina Shade toro
Never heard of this cigar before, but it sure presents really well. 1/3: Definitely medium minus. I feel that in hindsight, the smarter ones in this group could have deciphered that from it being Connecticut shade. Such is life. For flavors I got light cream with sugar. 2/3: Consistent. Mild...

2022-29 Carolina Reaper by Viaje
A very cool ass looking cigar! 1/3: Spicy through the nose. Even not retrohaling it, you get a nice spicy undertone. It is kind of like that chili that you go to town on, only to have your hair start sweating halfway through when the heat catches up with you. It also reminds me of spicy...

2022-30 Mason Dixon, By Crown Heads (North & current release I believe)
In doing some research and given who gave this one to me, I'm guessing that this is a current release and from the North. This is a yearly and regional release for those not in the know. Some years are more sought after than others. 1/3: Sweetness. Bread. 2/3: Cafe latte. 3/3: Coffee. Sugar...

2022-31 Memento Mori by BLTC
Coincidentally I have been thinking a lot about this phrase. It means "Remember that you will die." To me it means to live each day in the moment and fully engaged in the Now. Not the tomorrow. Not the yesterday. I am not sure where or when I heard it but I know it was in a podcast. It has...

2022-33 Trademark Maduro from Hammer and Sickle
To be honest, this is my least favorite of the H&S cigars that I've had. 1/3: Sour dough. 2/3: Diluted lemon juice and salt. 3/3: Moist vanilla cupcake w/o the frosting and all. Like I said, not that much that I really dig- esp compared to the other lines of theirs but whatever. I didn't buy...

2022-34 Killer Bee Shaolin by BWS
So wow! Some major artistry going on here. I feel that setting it to fire is somehow a disservice to it but service I must. 1/3: More sweetness than spice. Kinda like David Carradine in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. 2/3: That sweetness flows into the second third like how Bruce Lee flows in...

2022-35 Tatuaje Cohete Reserva
I have gotten away from Tatuaje over the years and for no good reason. First box of cigars that I ever bought was their Cabaiguan Corona Extras, hence my CP handle. @modo22 has steered me back towards them recently. 1/3: Prime rib. Or maybe even au jus soaked sour dough? 2/3: Brie (the King...

2022-36 Illusione #2

2022-37 Illusione Epernay La Ferme
Another Illusione. This, I believe, is tied to the original ECCJ cigar blend put out by Dion back in the day. 1/3: Sweet and peppery. If this continues like this, than Illusione just found their next customer. This is delicious! Honey and unsalted butter (slightly warmed) on the back end of...

2022-38 Trademark Natural from Hammer and Sickle Cigars
Another review of a cigar brand that unfortunately had to close it doors due to global events outside of their control. 1/3: Really good Connecticut shade. Mild to medium body. Vanilla. 2/3: Tobacco, mild baking spice. 3/3: Smooth. Mild baking spices, vanilla. Really nice smoke!

2022-39 Tradicion by Hammer and Sickle
Arguably my favorite H&S cigar. It has the great flavors of the Trademark natural and a boost of body. 1/3: A comfortable amount of bakers spice and tobacco. 2/3: White pepper. All spice (or perhap it is baking spices) 3/3: Medium strength and light bakers spice. Really enjoyable. Easy going...
