Newbie Challenge

I got to thinking last night while smoking a delicious cigar. I want someone to send me a premium stick along with a dog rocket with the bands removed. I'll pay for the cigars and shipping. Ideally they should be comparable as far as looks go (ie: both would have natural wrappers and be robustos). I want to see how my taste buds act when I don't know the brand of the cigar. If anyone is interested in offering me the challenge let me know.

This sounds nice a fun little exercise...i've always wondered if popular pricey cigars influence my decision on how good I really think they are.

Yeah that was my thinking exactly. I want to see how good a "good" cigar tastes and how bad a "bad" cigar taste when I don't know what they are and which is which.

Doesn't offend me at all, but it does seem a bit odd that you have only been a member since the 15th and I already have as many posts as you. Not sure if an established member is even going to want to send you some cigars, or even me for that matter. Happy trails!

The reason I want to do it with an established member is because I send out the money first putting me at risk and I trust someone with many posts and many months on the board to know their cigars. Furthermore I'm getting two unbanded cigars and trusting the price I'm given. Would you want to take such a risk with a brand new member or take much less of one with someone who is known to be honest and fair? I don't see the oddness in it...

Not to put it to bluntly, but I offered to send you a couple of cigars, never once thinking of you having to pay for anything upfront. I just find it a bit strange, that you set such a high standard with only 2 weeks of board participation yourself and all of 12-13 posts. I was not attempting to cause any friction, but was only trying to establish some relationships on the board because I love cigars and thought because you where new and I was new maybe we could start a friendship here. I see your point of view and do understand it fully, I just thought that maybe the best way for you to decline was maybe a private PM instead of basically telling me to kick rocks in front of the entire board. Best of luck to you and I truly do hope you gain a great cigar experience out of your challenge.

Might be a good idea. I really do not have any differences at all just thought it could have been addressed differently. Oh well my thought process does get a little off sometimes and communicating via the internet is not the best. I wish anyone here the best because afterall it is truly about the sticks right?
