Are there vast differences between the two? I think most of the cigars I smoke are Dominican, but I had a My Father and a Padron and I fully enjoyed both of them (both Nicaraguan I believe).

I think the general stereotype for these are that Domincans tend to be a little shorter, and skinnier (i.e. Chachi the Local Watermelon Boy), and Nicaraguan's tend to be stronger, and more powerful, especially in a fight with street rules. Obviously there are people from every region that fit into each category, but I think that is the general perception.
