i too do not condone "beating" children, but c'mon.
i cursed in front of my parents when i was 7 or 8, got my mouth "washed out with soap", needless to say, i didn't curse in front of adults any more. got the spank every now and again, and i turned out just fine. if anything, i have more respect for authority fiqures now because of it. unlike these little bastids running around taunting teachers and cops.
government should be more worried about balancing a budget and fixing social security instead of telling parents how to raise their children.
