ah northeast gonna be okay, North Carolina is another story. Looks like it's slowing down though, I just saw the weather forecast, 105 MPH winds which isn't too good but a heck of a lot better than 160 mph.

I love it when people say "Those damn Republicans in Congress were just being partisian and picked on Slick Willie 'cause he had sex with his intern. They should stay out his private life."
WRONG
Slick Willie was IMPEACHED by Congress because he committed a FELONY by lying under oath and admited it! Felonies are serious offenses where regular people serve jail time.
Unfortunately the spineless, partisian Democrats in the US Senate refused to vote to remove the Slickster from office. Absolutely incredible.

Oh no, I know you were lucky (being facetious, that is), I just wanted to post something to give people something to think about BEFORE they come running to his defense.
You know we're basically on the same page politically and I just wanted to let you know that I won't work on someone's campaign unless they have at least an "A" rating from the NRA.
Even though I'm not a gun person myself I feel so strongly that government has NO RIGHT to tell people they can't have them.
Something about an amendment (you know which one I mean, a number between 1 & 3) somewhere that the do-gooders seem to conveniently forget about.
BTW the joke is great, I hadn’t heard that one before. The people on my email joke distribution list are going to love it!

Luckily Boeman, this thread is in the LOBBY, which is neither political or Cigar related. It is however, as the description states, whatever we wish. No this is not a political board, but we all have political views and as adults we do have the ability to talk about those views without having to worry about being chastized for having done so.

No I don't want the xikar... don't get me wrong, I am a gun owner (Ruger P90 45 ACP and an MK90). I voted for the conceal and carry bill here in MO in 1999. I am glad it was passed by the MO congress, but I don't like the fact that the will of the people was ignored when they passed it (mixed emotions about the whole thing)

Guilty as charged of jacking the thread but sorry boeman, I gotta agree with PuroBrat 100%, this is the lobby and we get to talk about whatever we want to talk about.
I think it's great when people talk about things of interest to them, it gives us all a little more background about them and we can have some lively and interesting discussions, even when we disagree with one another (just ask mikedevilsfan about me, ) and go to this thread to really see what the lobby is all about.
And, if you don't like what I'm saying about the worst president in the history of this country (yes this is my opinion and this is the lobby), sorry but too bad.
Don't tell me that you think that someone who commits a felony, AND ADMITS THAT HE DID while serving in an elected office should be allowed to remain in that office. Even moderate Democrats agree with that, it's the partisian ones that do not.
