My lovely lady friend and I are headed to Manhattan later this month. This will be my first time, however, she used to live there. I need some help finding great B&M's and cigar friendly establishments. I know taxes are crazy and smoking seems to be taboo, but there has to be something out there somewhere. I will be staying at the Iroquois Hotel if there is anything close. All ideas and thoughts are welcome.

I use to go to Merchants ( I believe its on First ave & 61st ) but I haven't been there in awhile. Nice restaurant and a cigar lounge downstairs. I hear Club Macanudo ( i think its on E. 63rd ) is ok too. Haven't been there myself but a few buddies said it was nice. But then again, I'm not sure what type of atmosphere your looking for. Nice and quiet or for some eye candy.

oh, btw, this was before the whole no smoking thing so...
