To expand on my thoughts detailed in Post #4 of the thread, the intrusiveness of looking through the personal photos of dead strangers is why I found it somewhat creepy. These aren't public figures who expected for their photograph to end up in the public eye (with the exception of a possible Will Rogers) but rather ordinary people leading private lives who had no idea all those years ago when their friend/lover/family member took that important and somehow meaningful picture that it would eventually end up in a then-unimaginable public forum for the perusal of the entire world.
My use of the word "creepy" has nothing to do with smoking or the pervasiveness of smokers in a collection of abandoned pictures grouped together solely because they happen to feature people smoking. It's not like I assume this small arrangement is somehow representative of any meaningful population anyway.
I don't know how to explain my use of the word creepy any more clearly than all that, but I still stand by it.
