Old Time Radio Shows

I've got some of the old sci-fi shows on tape. "Zero hour", "Dimension X" and "Escape" for example.

When I worked for a book distributor I used to collect tapes. Mostly books on tape.King/Koontz/and Crichton. Movies on tape.Gangster/Western/Comedy. Old radio shows. Comedy/Drama. Even have some VHS tapes of some old shows or series. These were always good for a change of pace.

Every sunday morning the Am station here in town plays a hour of serials. Usually it is the shadow or some other crime drama, and then a superman or some other serial. I have to say I am usually pretty rivited to the radio when they are on.

I've been a XM subscriber for about 18 months. I find the old time radio to entertain during night distance driving. Most of the music channels broadcast back to back tunes. Thats good for some, but I want some color as well. I listen to country and get color shows from time to time, but I still miss the DJs. I also listen to Fox News during drive time.

I have a bunch of old time radio shows on cassette tape. Mostly SciFi and Mysteries and some comedy thrown in for a mix.

They have a few hundred shows you can listen to for free.

This isnt that old, but in the early 70's there was a radio serial called Chicken Man that was so funny. The most fantastic crime fighter the world has ever known... buck buck buck buck... Chicken Man! Some of the specifics escape me right now ( it was the 70's man, I did too much of that funny weed), but I remember it was a good chuckle to break up the day at work.
