The word is that this cigar won't be available until August, UNLESS you attend a Oliva event, and you can obtain some from the Oliva rep.

I have read a couple reviews and it supposedly is a very good cigar but not for the weak-knee'd, a very strong cigar, but yet its smooth.

Anyone tried one of these yet ? There is a Oliva event next week, and I'm going... :)

Tkoepp, I was at an Oliva event just last night, at The Party Source in Bellevue Kentucky. A combination of being friendly (and sucking up) scored me one of the Serie V 6x52 Torpedos. Sam Leccia, the Flor De Oliva rep, gave them out to two of us, asking if we'd smoke 'em up right away. (The other taster was 'Tommy Boy', known well on certain cigar boards.) We'd not even heard of this new offering, so heck yeah, we jumped right in and fired them up. Now I'm not a very polished writer, nor do I typically taste multiple flavor subtleties in any one ceegar, so my review may be less-than-captivating to read.

Beautiful looks to the stick, smooth and even colored, rolled together right. Triple capped, you cut it properly it stays together throughout the "ride". It fired up without difficulty, and stayed lit with very even burning. Ash stuck together, not even one little bit fell off prematurely. (For me that always seems like a good thing.)

Starts out tasting creamy smooth with medium strength, sometime later the ligero gets revved up and kicks the strength up like a turbocharger. Fortunately I always eat a full meal before these tastings, so it didn't give me the swimheads or anything. The other guy who tried one looked a little buzzy by the end of his, but his beer consumption may have been doing that to him. :whistling:
